Apple Crisp 3 cups peeled sliced apples 1 cup light or dark brown sugar 1/2 cup flour, wheat is fine 1/4 cup butter, margarine or Earth Balance vegan, room temp. 1/3 to 1/2 cup walnuts chopped 1 teaspoon Cinnamon (use more if you like) 1/2 teaspoon Cardamom Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Oil and flour 8 X 8 or 9 X 9 square pan. Arrange apple slices in prepared pan. In a mediuml bowl combine flour, sugar, cinnamon, cardamom and butter. Mix with hands until small lumps form. Add nuts. Sprinkle over apples. Bake for 40 to 45 minute. Top should be browned and apples tender. Serve hot, room temp or cold from the fridge.
