Guest guest
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digestive_biscuit Having never eaten one I don't know how accurate this recipe is http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Digestive-Biscuits/Detail.aspx Barbara Orange Co CA At 12:48 PM 2/26/2010, you wrote: > > >What is the US equivelent? Guest guest
I believe that the nearest US equivalent to a digestive biscuit is a graham cracker, but never having had one of those I cannot be completely sure. Guest guest
That recipe contains oats, which would be pretty unusual for a digestive biscuit in the UK. I cannot offer an alternative recipe, though, as I've never needed to make them. Christie

Guest guest
Not really, Graham crackers have a very different taste and texture. having lived in England there really isn't anything like it here at all. . I have however seen them sold more and more often in super markets and even Wal-Mart. (I live in small town Alabama and they have them here in Wal-Mart.) They are usually in some odd corner sometimes the cookie/cracker isle, sometimes the ethnic foods, I've even seen them with the rice cake types of things. They are in a cylinder package usually where you find the real Scottish Shortbread cookies and German Lintzer (sp?) butter cookies. I have even found them once or twice in the Dollar Store. I do know Publix carries them regularly if you have one close by. -Tee Sent from my iPhone On Feb 26, 2010, at 6:12 PM, " christie_0131 " <christie0131 wrote: I believe that the nearest US equivalent to a digestive biscuit is a graham cracker, but never having had one of those I cannot be completely sure.
