By the time I got to make it I had come to the same conclusion and am only sorry I haven't attempted something like this earlier. I love most nuts but have never tried chestnuts. I had no problem with the other nuts that were suggested (I used pinenuts, almonds,macadamia and cashews) I also used fresh wholemeal bread crumbs, which I think added to the flavour. No 2 son (definite carnivore) loved it until I told him it wasn't meat loaf.
