Guest guest
Hi, I just wondered if anyone out there could recommend a good weight loss diet please. I am a man aged 53 and am seriousely overweight so I need to shed some pounds, lots of them. I am a vegetarian boardering on vegan and I enjoy a varied diet. I do eat bad things like cakes and biscuits but have cut them right down. I also eat plenty of vegetables and salads normaly cheese. I also have a damaged spine so most excersize is out but I do walk when my back allows. Any ideas would be most appreciated, many thanks in advance. Guest guest
Two ideas off the top of my head, the first is start calculating the actual calorie count of what you eat each day and adjust it to what you actually need, even healthy food in excess can cause or maintain weight gain. The second idea is with regards to the exercise, try aquatic exercises, as they're just as, if not more effective as regular exercises but the water provides a two fold benefit of supporting the body and weight, making it easier to exercise with health issues and it provides an additional resistance to the exercise so you get extra benefits that way. As for where, I'd say most gyms offer pools, usually your local YMCA has such. Dennis
