Guest guest
Two ideas off the top of my head, the first is start calculating the actual calorie count of what you eat each day and adjust it to what you actually need, even healthy food in excess can cause or maintain weight gain. The second idea is with regards to the exercise, try aquatic exercises, as they're just as, if not more effective as regular exercises but the water provides a two fold benefit of supporting the body and weight, making it easier to exercise with health issues and it provides an additional resistance to the exercise so you get extra benefits that way. As for where, I'd say most gyms offer pools, usually your local YMCA has such. Dennis
Guest guest
I recently lost a bit over 2 stone (30 lbs) and the thing that really helped me was to track absolutely everything that I ate. I thought that I had already cut back on eating and was very surprised by the amount I was still eating and then forgetting about. I got a programme for my Nintendo DS which helped me to calculate calories, fats and sugars in what I was eating and I weighed all my food for a while until I got used to being able to accurately assess a smaller portion. Don't overdo the dairy produce as it is very fattening. Perhaps you could sign up for the PCRM 21day vegan kickstart - it started last week, so there are still 14 days to go and you may pick up some useful tips for healthier eating. You will find it here: http://www.21daykickstart.org/ Do as much exercise as you are able to - even if you move a little bit more each day it will make a difference and help with the weight loss. I have a step counter which helps me to monitor that. Wishing you every success. Christie
Guest guest
Hi,   A typical days diet for me is a bowl of cereal in the morning, usualy porridge, then about lunchtime I have a sandwhich {two max}. Then for evening meal I'll have something like vegetarian sausages, or burger {no bread}, or maybe a pie/pasty, {indevidual and shop bought} with vegetables. Sometimes a desert, rice pudding, a small cake, or some biscuits {six but only twice a day}.   Then just before bed I'll have a snack, two fruit buns or plain scones, or a small tin of fruit in fruit juice not syrup {cant stand that} Sometimes I'll put some fresh or tinned fruit on my cereal, I don't like candied fruit.   In any day I'll drink about 10 mugs of tea or coffee, and one bottle of fresh fruit juice. I never add sugar to anything, {not keen on that} and all hot drinks are made with soya milk. And I have a hot milky drink before bed.    Paul Russell.  Through violence, you may 'solve' one problem, but you sow the seeds for another. Guest guest
One more idea that popped to mind is the idea of mini meals, instead of a larger breakfast, lunch and dinner, do more but smaller meals through out the day, you could spread it out to five or six small meals that way it's just as easy to monitor and you don't go and over eat at any one meal as you won't be as hungry in between. Guest guest
Eat smaller meals, more often throughout the day. You might also look into food combining. -
