Guest guest
Is anyone here a runner? Our town has a series of races in the spring that build up to a mini marathon (or marathon if you're so inclined). I run year-round, but I train harder starting in January for the spring races. This is my first race season eating vegetarian & I'm having a rough time. I don't know if it's a coincidence or not, but running seems more difficult this season. Do you think I need more protein? I don't like much of the meat substitutes so I try to get most of my protein from eggs, beans, veggies, & grains. Any advice would be appreciated! Guest guest
My husband is a vegetarian and a runner. He says he has a feeling the body doesn't build up as quickly, but that's just a guess on his part. He isn't sure if there is something lacking in his diet or if it just his turning 50 this year that is slowing him up a bit. He does take vitamins and seems to think that might help some. Good luck, Ashley! -ginger
