Guest guest
I 've been super duper busy this week and have not been able to get to the super market and pick up my usual skim milk while the gas station only had whole milk, which is too much butter fat for my stomach. I had some almond milk in the fridge from the last time I went shopping. Almond milk as a much long shelf life than cow's milk, 1 up for almond milk. I bought plain almond milk because my experiences with flavored soy milk was too sweet. I DO NOT like the after taste of almond milk, which could totally be my Topamax that I take for my fibromyalgia, which alters the taste buds, for me sweetness is heightened. I also can't drink soda any more, bummer because I love ginger ale. I will try the vanilla almond milk when I go tomorrow to the grocery store and pharmacy because I can't live another day without my milk. I am surprised that I have lived this week. If it wasn't for tap water I don't know what I would have drank. I will also try making my current plain almond milk into chocolate. What isn't improved by the addition of chocolate? I like my chocloate dark, so at least the meds haven't screwed that up! The almond milk was to accompany my supper of apple pancakes, but alais I had to drink water. There is something about pancakes and a big glass of ice cold milk. I miss my milk!!! Jonesing is more like it... Dena
Guest guest
Unsweeted Chocolate almond milk is my fave, as far as almond milk goes.
Guest guest
I use unsweetened plain almond milk, I prefer it over rice or soy milk (especially over soy). It took a while to get used to it, but after using it on cereal for a while, I will now even drink a small glass of it with cookies or something chocolate-y. Chocolate almond milk is good, too. Guest guest
I can see where it would take a while to get used to. I'll try it on cereal and see how that goes and in my oatmeal as well. I like the adding chocolate to it, but the biggest success was cooking my alfredo with it. I'm going to experiment with it more. I agree with the soy milk. I can't drink it in any form. My sister and BIL like it in the chocolate form. Dena
Guest guest
It is good in oatmeal, the nutty flavor is great! I make oatmeal with almond milk and a few dried cranberries thrown in it while it cooks. The cranberries reconstitute, so good... Guest guest
My youngest daughter has been drinking soy since she quit nursing because up until a year or so ago it was all we could get here. I despise the stuff and can't hardly get past the smell. She didn't like the almond milk we tried and we haven't tried anything else but that coconut milk looks interesting and I can't wait till we move so hopefully we can try it. I used to love milk but it just makes me sick anymore. Jenn

Audrey I love adding the cranberries while it cooks all the time, then add a touch of brown sugar, pecans, and crunchie granola for a texture contrast, yummy!!! I don't add but a touch of dark brown sugar or molassas for the flavor because the cranberries sweeten it so much while it cookes and they are so wonderful and plump when it is all done. I'll defenantly add the almond milk to it when I have some for supper tomorrow night. I have oatmeal for supper more than I have it for breakfast. I perfer a light supper than a heavy one. When I do cook supper, I'll mainly do it for lunch through out the week than anything. I just got a real late start today with mending clothes and the time change and all. Guest guest
I love almond milk in cereal or oatmeal (I like the vanilla). Have you tried rice milk? I don't like cow's milk, in fact I try to limit dairy (except cheese is hard for me to give up). Guest guest
Almond Breeze does have a chocolate version, which is delish! I was very much a milk drinker before I became vegan the first of this year. Milk was my biggest " fear " of missing. I don't like soy milk. I have used rice milk on my cereal, but it is super sweet. I adore Almond Breeze - vanilla for drinking and my morning oatmeal, chocolate for an afternoon snack, and plain for my cereal. Out Target did start carrying the Silk's version of almond milk and it'll do for me, but I like Almond Breeze best. Ginger
