Guest guest
I guess this is considered Raw food, but the truth is, you cook them in the dehydrator. I had to cut the recipe by half, and skipped the apple, cause I prefer to eat it instead of use it in a recipe.I didn't have carrot juice or vanilla bean, used pineapple juice from the can, and used sugar for sweetener. Used real vanilla. 1 1/2 cup flax soaked in 3 cups water 1 cup carrot pulp 1 cup carrot juice 1 cup pineapple chunks 1 tart apple, core removed 1/2 cup pecans 1/2 cup raisins 2 teaspoon stevia (or whatever sweetener you choose) 1 vanilla bean, scraped 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg 1/2 teaspoon ginger 1/4 teaspoon seasalt. Place pineapple, apple, raisins, sweetener, vanilla in food processor. chop until finely chopped. add flax, carrot pulp, juice and spices. Stir until well blended. Spread on Teflex sheet, dehydrate at 115 degrees for about 6 hours. Flip onto mesh screen. Remove teflex sheet and dehydrate for an additional 8 hours. Enjoy. --Rhonda
