Guest guest
I'm new and I am not a good cook, so my heart sank down into my toes when the welcome message said, 'Introduce yourself and post a recipe. " EEk. I guess bread type recipes aren't really what you are looking for, but this is a bit different and so heavenly... coconut bread : 325 for 55 mins. 4 eggs 1cup oil 2cup sugar 2tsp coconut flavoring mix these thoroughly: & add: 3 cups flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt Stir together gently, then add: 1cup buttermilk 1cup flaked coconut 1cup nuts BAKE Make topping while bread cooks and top the moment in comes out of over. (its supposed to sink down into bread, not really 'top.' Topping: 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup water 1 T butter :bring to boil, add 1 tspn coconut flavoring spoon topping over baked loaves. allow to sit for 1/2 hour. because of the 'topping' these are incredibly moist and rich. I am Nancy, live in NH - halfway between the White Mts and the ocean. I love the outdoors! I can't claim to be a 'good' vegetarian, but am better at it when I take the time to actually make nice dishes. Have several simple fam faves for dinner (like Zuchini Lasagna) that have been around forever, and am losing enthusiasm for them... very glad to have found this list. Hi everyone. Guest guest
Hi Nancy, welcome! awwww, the message doesn't mean to threaten a recipe out of you, LOL. but I am glad you did, because it sounds yummy, I love coconut! We just have that up so people wouldn't be shy. Don't worry about not being a good cook. You probably are, you are just bored with what you have. I know when you go on line and see recipes there are so many it gets confusing. This group is only for tried and true recipes. That way you know its good, LOL. Ask Paul Vato Loco, are you in here Paul???? He will tell you how he went from knowing nothing about cooking, to cooking very well on his own every day. Just sit back, read the posts, relax, and have fun with us! hugs and blessings, Chanda Maria On 3/23/2010 10:14 AM, Nancy wrote: > > I'm new and I am not a good cook, so my heart sank down into my toes > when the welcome message said, 'Introduce yourself and post a recipe.
