Guest guest
I personally like Thai food. The one close to where I live has a really good eggplant dish and also Middle Eastern restaurants have a pretty good variety. Guest guest
I have a very veg friendly place by me. There's a Chinese-Islamic place near me too and they have all sorts of veg dishes. The Mexican place only uses canola oil and they are also veg friendly, the owner told me many vegetarians come in during lunch with groups of coworkers so they will make up special food upon request, bean tacos, etc. Donna Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry

Guest guest
I have found that if I ask right, I can get waitstaff to promise to add more veggies to a salad that I get " no meat " : more beansxon a taco salad, or add avocado, something like that. My favorite Thai place adds extra veggies to my tofu pad thai (only meat versions are on the menu), and the Einstein's bagels near work knows me and never gives me trouble about no cheese and add fresh spinach (try the roasted red pepper dressing next time you are at an Einstein's - supposed to be dairy free, its good!) Guest guest
That's right, take care of it when you order. If you are nice and compliment the food, etc you'd be surprised how they will gladly add extras. Guest guest
I usually get the noodles with vegetables. I don't think there is any fish sauce on that. But yes lots of Thai food does have fish! Guest guest
I would not expect a restuarant to give a discount for asking them to hold the meat, and I often take that into account when ordering, for example a salad that has nothing but some chicken on top is not worth the price in mho, so i won't order that, but say the salad already comes with lots of other stuff in it I will just ask for say extra beans or avacado etc in it in place of the meat. so whatever Iorder I ask for something in place of the meat, This is almost always done for me and I ask very often.
