Guest guest
Don't forget to watch garage sales this spring for pots and pans, dishes, small kitchen appliances, etc! My mom found me an entire set of copper-bottom Revereware at a garage sale for a crazy low price. It's not new, probably about the same age as her Revereware. Grandma gave me one of her Revereware pots in a size that she doesn't use anymore and it has been my favorite for a long time. I'm getting rid of a few cheap saucepans on freecycle now. I'm so excited about my new pans! Anybody know how to get the handles to look nice again? I'm guessing that they turned gray from being washed in the dishwasher? Speaking of old pots and pans, I unearthed an old aluminum bread pan in Mom's basement (had to scrub PAINT out of it...) and have been using it for a few months, since I broke my Pyrex loaf pan. It's pretty beat-up, but it works perfectly, and it's a nice large size with a wide bottom. Grandma was over yesterday and asked where I got it -- turns out, it was one of my great-grandmother's bread pans! She was married in 1914, so it was probably new then. Guest guest
My husband is into cast iron skillets now and he looks for old and some new and some brand new LOL. That reminds me we might need to start yard and garage selling because we are limited.
