Guest guest
I sure use a lot of onions and garlic in cooking everyday too. I buy bags of sweet onions and large jars of peeled garlic cloves every time I go to Sam's Club. Sometimes I buy a bag of purple/red onions too. So very delicious and healthy additions to savory dishes. Even though our children aren't crazy about onions, I cook them in most savory things and they eat it and do not mind to much. They won't touch raw onions though. I hope one day they will love them. LOL They do love, love, love garlic! Judy
Guest guest
I only cook for myself, and every month I get a bag of yellow onions, a bag of red onions, a few sweet onions, and about 5 full cloves of garlic. I love them raw or cooked. I love sweet onions baked. M
Guest guest
That is probably about what I go through, maybe a little less, just for me. Red onions are my favorites. How do you bake your sweet onions, Marilyn? Guest guest
I got some “baked onion” seasoning from Walmarts a couple of years ago. I take some of the top off the onion and sprinkle the seasoning on it. I make an aluminum foil cup for it to sit in, almost closed at the top and then bake about ½ hour. They come out so sweet and seasoned. I also have a plastic baked onion cooker for the microwave, so I can either use the oven or the microwave to bake them.
