Bread with garlic and tomato does sound good. I had to look up

Catalonia - what a beautiful part of the world, with such interesting

history! I had a Spanish teacher in college who was from Spain, though

I can't remember which region. She spent some time teaching us about

the different cultures in Spain, and I became interested in the

Basques, and the mystery of where their language came from. This lady

had a very pretty accent, so different than the accents of Central and

South American teachers I had before and after. But then, I think the

Spanish language is pretty in any dialect -- prettier than French or

Italian! :)

Catalan is the language of Catalonia, yet another romance language, as different

from Spanish as French or Italian, but less 'different' than Basque. My

favorite is the Brazilian dialect of portuguese as far as the musicality of the

language...
