Guest guest
The recent *barbeque popcorn recipe* looks great and reminds me of a favorite of mine. My daughter told me about seasoning plain crackers with olive oil and packaged ranch dressing mix so I decided to try it on popcorn..It is Yummy !! Ranch Dressing Flavored Popcorn 1 hot air popper full of popcorn (mine usually makes about 2 1/2 quarts) 1/3 cup olive oil 1-2 Tablespoons packaged dry ranch dressing mix. I buy the organic,no MSG kind. Before popping the corn allow the dry dressing mix to marinate in the olive oil for 10-15 min. No need to heat the oil. Drizzle over the popped corn. The oil is perfect because it does not make the popcorn soggy and is probably healthier than butter or margarine. **************************** Seasoned Soda Crackers I buy the fat free . Daughter uses a whole package of ranch dressing mix, w/1 cup of olive oil, to one entire box of soda crackers which is usually 4 packets to a box. She places all of the crackers in a plastic zip top bag and drizzles the dressing oil mix evenly on them. She stores them in the same bag. She sometimes adds flaked chili/powder to hers. They remain, surprisingly crisp and tasty. You will never buy the fancy seasoned crackers again. These are delicious.
