Guest guest Posted April 18, 2010 Report Share Posted April 18, 2010 Fried Walnuts, Chinese Style 1 lb. walnut halves 1 cup water 3/4 cup sugar oil for deep frying Rinse nuts to remove flaky coating. Combine water and sugar in saucepan, cook 5 minutes. Place nuts in jar with cover. Pour sugar syrup over nuts. Cool, cover and let stand overnight. Heat oil to 350 degrees and add drained nuts.
