Guest guest
I don't live near one, but when I was in Atlanta last, I got to pop into one. I loved the store. Check out their pasta section next time you are in there. It is the most varied that I have ever seen. Judy
Guest guest
Their tofu that comes in the twin packs, extra firm, is my favorite tofu from anywhere. I also like their large heirloom tomatoes, english cucumbers, mini bell peppers in red, orange and yellow, the lowcarb chocolate, frozen asparagus spears, harvest grain blend, olive oil popcorn, 3-pack avacados, their wines!, luna and lara bars, and the list goes on and on.... Its the purest they sell i believe. shes had this bottle for about 6 months. Iv got to go there! Debbie
Guest guest
I meant to reply to the following post last time--got sidetracked! Ha! I am glad to hear about the Stevia being " pure " and not " filled " with extra stuff for bulk! I used to get " pure " stevia in large bottles (the white powdered kind) from Vitamin World shops. They quit carrying that kind and now the only kind they had the last time I went there were large jars of stevia powder, but with added " inulin fiber " . (What is that and why does it have to be added to stevia???) I bought it, supposing it might be preferable to the stevia that has DEXTROSE added. (What the hey??!!---WHY add a SUGAR to something that is supposed to be used in PLACE of SUGAR??? And isn't most dextrose made from CORN syrup??!! I totally HATE that!!) Anyway, I think the " inulin fiber added " stevia, while it DOES sweeten, seems weaker than the other kind I used to get. If TJ's sells PURE (without added stuff) stevia powder--that alone, for me, is worth a trip down there to get some the next time I need it! THANKS to the person who posted about the TJ's stevia powder! I appreciate the info! gratefully, --Laura B., in Illinois Hi! Guest guest
All this Trader Joe talk has made me jealous that I don't live closer to one. I live over 300 miles away. The nearest ones are in the Atlanta area. I live in the deep southeastern part of Georgia, so going to the Atlanta area occurs to visit family and friends and for seriously planed shopping trips, which have not occured due to the slupping economy and avaliablity of online shopping that comes to me with gas being so high. I wish Trader Joe's was online. Bummer for me. Thanks for the stevia information. This has helped greatly since I've known about stevia from my early college days in the late 90s from doing competetive forsenic speech. I gave an informative speech on stevia, though living in rural Geogia took some time before it showed up in our health food stores. I perfer it over other sweeteners, especially artificial. I hate those because of their taste and they are fake, plus there is the added benifit of very low, if any, affect on blood sugar, the research is still out on that...so they say. Thanks for making me jealous. Dena
