Good prices for these products, BELOW on Amazon. Watch some of the prices for

Loma Linda/Worthington Products on Amazon as some products are priced way to

high. Most of the time their prices for these products are excellent, so I'm

not sure why they have overpriced some of the case prices, JUST RECENTLY.

These are delicious products.

and there are others. Look at the middle of the page. Prices over $56/ case

is too high in my opinion.

I just talked to a Whole Foods Store...They don't have Worthington but

said they would order if I wanted it... I just would not want to order

a case at a time..

You can make your own gluten products very easily -- perhaps not quite the

same quality as Worthington but ever so much cheaper. The product can be

frozen or canned for later use. I have quit buying the canned stuff --

just way too expensive for my wallet. I would have to pay $7 or $8 per can

and I can make sufficient similar product in my own home with very little time

or effort on my part. It will cost me around $8 or $9 for a batch that

will last me more than a week with daily use. Just pick up some Bob's Red

Mills Vital Gluten flour and make your own.

You can do it even cheaper if you order vital wheat gluten from

Honeyville Grain online. They sell a #10 can (3.5 lbs) for $10.99 plus

$4.59 total shipping charge.

Bob's Red Mills Vital Gluten flour is only $6.57 for 22oz here. The $8 or

$9 cost for a whole recipe includes all the other herbs, spices and

seasonings I use AND the cost of the electricity I use in making it. I cook

mine

(roasts, chops and steaks) in a crock pot using the lower temp and cooking

overnight so it has a nice firm texture. You can simmer or boil it so that

it has a softer texture.

If I want to have my son or step son pick up the 25# bag of the vital wheat

gluten flour I can get it for just under fourteen cents per ounce which is

less than half that I would have to spend if buying the 22 ounce bags.

Think I might just do that and can up a bunch of it for later use. :-)

That's really nice that you can have it picked up. The only way I can

get it is to have it shipped and the shipping charges are no joke. I

know because I do love Bob's Red Mill products and do pay for shipping

on them occasionally. (Other times, I buy them through Amazon and get

free shipping, but Amazon doesn't carry everything they offer.) So the

19 cents per ounce I pay for Honeyville Grain VWG is the lowest

available price for me.

I have ordered thru stores in my area in quantity and they have given me a

price break on it since they don't have to store it or have a large

inventory of it. Please do ask about special ordering it. Asking is free and

you might (I hope) be surprised.
