Guest guest
Before I moved in with my family, In the winter I would make these every Sunday morning, grab my newspaper and eat them all as I read the hockey scores. Granny Orange Popovers (Very Easy) 1 cup all-purpose flour 2 teaspoons grated orange peel 1/2 teaspoon salt 3 eggs, lightly beaten 3/4 cup milk 1/4 cup fresh orange juice 1 tablespoon butter, melted or vegetable oil Grease and flour 4, 6 ounce or 6, 4 ounce custard or muffin cups. In a large bowl, combine flour, orange peel and salt. In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, juice and butter; add to flour mixture. Stir until smooth, scraping bowl with a rubber spatula. Cover bowl; let batter stand for 30 minutes or chill for up to 24 hours. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Pour 1/2 cup batter into each 6 ounce cup or 1/3 cup batter into each 4 ounce cup. If using custard cups, place them on a baking sheet. Bake the popovers until well browned and firm, about 1 hour. Remove from cups and cool slightly. Serve popovers hot. Serves 2 to 3. -- Never be afraid to try something new. Remember amateurs built the ark. Professionals built the Titanic.

Guest guest
I'm going back to look up this recipe and print it. I think I will make it next week for the Teacher Appreciation potluck. My daughter's grade is to bring a sweet. From past experience there is always WAY too much food, but popovers are easy to carry away and save for later. Thanks!
