Guest guest
You poor woman! I had a suggestion for you on what you could say to someone like that, but then you had to ruin it by saying you wanted to stay married to him! Sorry, But seriously, i know what its like having a stick in the mud around who thinks " fake meat " is sub-standard low-life food. My ex was just like that. Didnt even try to be nice about it either. I had to really work at hiding my morning star farms type food. Sad, i know. But some people just wont get over their prejudice against said products no matter how hard you try. My suggestion though, is to try to get him to set aside some time to really talk to you about this. Sounds like their are a few more problems needing to be addressed relating to this topic too. Your concern for your older son, I can tell your very worried about him. That is definitly a health risk. And right now hes in school, doing all their programs like PE and such. If this isnt corrected now, once he leaves schoo he wont be nearly so active as he is now and the weight problem will just get worse and much harder to find a solution. You lucky your younger son at least is a omnivore. At least your able to get some veggies into him, thats such a blessing! Well, good luck, i hope my little suggestion helps. Oh, one more thing. When you have your talk, positive thinking, Be armed with a good sampling of the products, show him in black and white the calorie and other differences ,on paper, between say , one regular sausage link serving as opposed to a serving of morningstar farms links. If hes int the cost thing, work it out on paper for him. There is a savings most of the time, at others, it may be around the same cost but the health savings still make it a deal, a good choice. Id make him his favorite dessert to enjoy during your " talk " to. Cant hurt. Sneaky, i know. Whatever works, right? Alls fair in love and war and this is definitly a bit of a battle. They say pick your battles. I think this is a worthwhile one to choose. Good luck my friend! Feel free to email me directly if youd like. Have a wonderfull weekend and i hope i didnt bore you.
