Guest guest
If you use milk, eggs, dairy, etc. then you're Lacto-Ova vegetarian. If you use dairy and no eggs, you're lacto-vegetarian. If you use eggs but not dairy you're ova-vegetarian. If you use no animal products, you're vegan. At least that was the definition when I first checked out vegetarianism (about 20 years ago) and that was no red meat, no white meat, no fish. Nothing but plant, grain, or fruit based food. As for the chicken tofu, you may have to ask them for their recipe. I don't know, I'm new here, too. So far, I've only been vegetarian for about a week or so. I forgot most of everything I've learned so have to learn most of it all again, plus without the soy products. (we don't like each other, much...*grin*) Good luck... Guest guest
Thanks Mary, I am trying to have more soy now in my diet but I agree with you about it not liking us much. lol. (at least I had problems eating it before I started this). I would be happy to just buy them from there if I have to. I doubt they would give me the recipe but that is also another avenue. I have never bought tofu and really don't have any ideals about it. I just know I have had some bad reactions the soy used in Chineese food and I have assumed that it's all the same but I can't be certain. Again thanks for your response. Guest guest
Hi Donna...... See if you can find some Tamari sauce in your local health food store. It is made differently from regular soy sauce and is better for you......maybe you can tolerate it. Nancy C. .
