Guest guest
For those of you with herb gardens........another great baked onion recipe is to peel a whole onion and dig out a small hole in the top........place on a alum. foil and add a pat of butter in the hole along with a generous portion of lemon thyme over the onion. Wrap and bake until tender........ We make this when we go camping and place over a wood fire. Something about that lemon thyme that does wonders to the onion. _____ On Behalf Of Granny Mae Jean Thursday, May 13, 2010 6:25 AM gourmet-recipes-for-1-or-2 [veg_grp] Baked Onions Baked Onions 1 medium onion 1 Tbs. butter or margarine 1 Tbs. flour 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 cup milk 1/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese Slice onion and separate into rings; place in a greased 1-qt. baking dish and set aside.
