Guest guest
Hi Tony, I have only just recently become vegetarian too. For me it was an eithical decision but I was never really a big meat anyway. But yes, I find it difficult cooking just for one too. But as one of our former prime ministers famously once said " life wasn't meant to be easy " Virginia West Aussie > I have just become Vegetarian, I am 51 years old and have become > increasingly aware of the amount of additives in the food of the > animals we eat, and the often unpleasant ways in which they are > reared and slaughtered. Guest guest
Hello, My name is Debbie and I am new to the group. I am also new to trying vegetarian eating. I want to get healthy and hopefully lose a little weight. I've tried every kind of " diet " before and I hope to just change what I'm eating and not worry about counting calories, points, etc. I just saw my doctor and my cholesterol has been slowly going up for the last few years. I'm at the high end of normal and I don't want to go any higher. I have been reading a lot about our food system in this country and have decided I need to eat more local food. I also don't feel a need to hurt and kill animals so I can eat when I'm finding plenty of great options from plants instead. Thanks for letting me join.
