Guest guest Posted May 19, 2010 Report Share Posted May 19, 2010 Feta, Onion-Walnut Pasta 1 1/2 tsps. butter, margarine, or olive oil 1 tsp. garlic, minced 1 jumbo onion, peeled and chopped 2 tbsps. brown sugar 1/2 cup chopped walnuts, almonds, or pecans 4 ozs. feta cheese, crumbled 16 oz. hot cooked fusilli, rigatoni, or bow-tie In medium skillet over medium-heat, sauté garlic in butter 2 minutes. Add onions and continue to cook and stir until tender, about 5 minutes. Add brown sugar and walnuts. Cook and stir just until sugar melts. Remove from heat. Add Feta and toss to mix. Serve onions hot or warm, over hot cooked pasta (bow-tie, spinach fusilli, or rigatoni) or atop a large salad of mixed greens. Serves 6.
