Laura - did you like the hot dogs, then? They're my favorite veggie hot

dogs! Sorry, don't know how to help you find Food 4 Less. There's one in my

college town, I shopped there frequently -- not fancy, but cheap!

    Oh, I'm sorry!  I THOUGHT I had e-mailed to tell you I had indeed tried the

Worthington

Big Franks you had so kindly sent me!  I did like them!  They aren't just

flavored the same as my (I-know-bad-for-me, but-I-still-crave-them) O.M. (m**t)

hotdogs, but they are tasty and I would eat them occasionally for a treat

flavor.  They really do remind me (sorry, I can't help comparing

flavors/textures!) of the little, bitty canned things called, " Vienna sausage "

that my grandmother always seemed to keep stocked on hand while she was around. 

For some time, I liked those a lot and could eat a whole can of the little

things--tiny, and only about 6-7 in a can--3 about equivalent to a whole regular

hot-dog.  Now, I couldn't eat (or stomach) those if I wanted to!  Ha!

 

    The only thing I noticed is that while pan-frying the Worthington " dogs " ,

they did seem to stick to the skillet quite a bit.  The flavor is good and,

while I seem to be sensitive to some of the ingredients (mainly the corn-derived

parts), it was good to try and I would definitely want to find a place to get

some more--just to keep a can on the shelf for those days when I think a hotdog

with mustard and sauerkraut would be a fine thing to have--maybe with a " wheat "

bun!
