Guest guest Posted September 13, 2009 Report Share Posted September 13, 2009 Broccoli Florets in Lemon Basil Cream Sauce Cambpells kitchen Prep: 5 minutes Cook: 10 minutes Ingredients: 2 tablespoons butter 2 tablespoons minced onions 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour 1 pinch turmeric 1 1/4 cups half-and-half 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil leaves 1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper 1 package 14-oz Birds Eye Baby Broccoli Florets, cooked according to package directions; drained Directions: In medium saucepan, melt butter. Sauté onion in butter until soft. Stir in flour and turmeric to make a paste. Cook over medium heat 1 minute, stirring constantly. Slowly add half and half, lemon juice, lemon zest, basil and white pepper; cook, stirring constantly until thick and smooth. Pour sauce over broccoli and serve immediately.
