Guest guest Posted September 15, 2009 Report Share Posted September 15, 2009 Greetings, Although my mom loved and ate tabouli throughout my childhood, I never tried it until I moved back home to Detroit as a 10+ year vegetarian. Now I LOVE it. The Detroit area, last I heard, has the most middle-easterns outside of the middle east. There is definitely an abundance of tabouli! I will be Detroit visiting next week and there are 3 different middle-eastern restaurants on my " to do " list: one has a more peppery tabouli, one has a more minty tabouli, one has a real fresh/raw/crunchy tabouli with the yummiest marinade. AND I can order a LARGE tabouli and get a large tabouli. And it is cheaper to buy it there than to make it and waaay less time consuming. I love the fresh green taste that tabouli has with all of the fresh parsley, mint, lemon juice, tomatoes,etc in it. Soooooooo good.
