Guest guest
I know so many people who can't stand cilantro. Is it the most hated herb? I didn't like it the first time I tasted it but I sure got used to it fast. My BIL is from Yucatan and it was added to everything. The more I ate it the more I loved it. Now mint, yikes I can't even stand to look at a candycane lol Donna Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry
Guest guest
The first time I used Cilantro, was in my Potato Soup, instead of a little parsely. I must have over used it. The first time I tasted it, it tasted like soap, but then I tried it in salsa and I loved it. Now it doesn't taste like soap at all to me. Funny how tasting something you haven't liked before, prepared in new way, your taste buds just seem to change overnight. That is the way it was with Asparagus for me. I had always hated the smell of asparagus cooking and couldn't eat it without gagging. Then I was somewhere, where it was disguised in a salad. I never saw it or tasted it, but LOVED the salad. From then on, the smell and taste has never bothered me. It was so weird to go from really hating something to loving it. Now I love Asparagus and make casseroles with it, " creamy " aparagus soup, Asparagus and Leek Chowder and Love to steam it and squeeze fresh lemon juice over it and add a little salt.
