Guest guest
Our sweet Judy send me a box of green peanuts and emailed me instructions for cooking them in the pressure cooker. Were they ever a hit last night. We Los Angelenos have never seen, tasted or heard of them before. There wasn't anyone who didn't like them. My nephew-in-law is from S.Carolina and was he ever happy to find this tasty treat. Thank you again Judy! Guest guest
Oh Donna, You're most welcome. I'm very glad you were able to surprise your nephew and the others with these SE USA delicacies. We sure love green boiled peanuts here. The produce stands around here will have green boiled peanuts boiled up aready cooked or you can buy them fresh to cook yourself. I cook them up myself. The rest of the year they have regular peanuts, still in the shell, for sale and boil those up. Green peanuts are better, but you can only buy them mid summer thru mid September. Here is what a green peanut is, in case you've never seen them before. http://greenpeanuts.net/ They come in regular size peanuts or jumbo size and taste slightly different. We prefer the flavor of the regular size peanuts. Judy .
