Guest guest
Judy, I agree with you. When I was young, I baby-sat a lot for people and remember some folks had aquariums at home. I, too, thought they were mysterious and beautiful--kind of " other-worldly " when the lights were off or dimmed, as I sat up, reading, watching a little TV or whatever, before the parents of the children came back late at night. It was kind of comforting, I guess, as the fish swam dreamily around in the tank and the aerator bubbled hypnotically. I like watching fish; it's so calming. (I'm musing about odd things like fish in aquariums on this chilly evening here in middle Illinois; it's a " hole up with a book by the fireplace " kind of night!), --Laura B. I love the aquarium at one of my sisters home. It is in the living room, where we sleep on her pull out sofa bed & cots. It looks so pretty lit up in a dark room. Judy . Guest guest
I loved having a little, 2 1/2 gallon aquarium in my bedroom growing up. Even with the light off -- I like the burbling water noise, it's comforting. But aquariums are a lot of work to keep clean, even small ones. Maybe someday again I'll have one!
