Guest guest Posted September 24, 2009 Report Share Posted September 24, 2009 Almond Cake 1 packet filo pastry olive oil 2 lbs. ground almonds 1 tablespoon ground almonds 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon 7 ozs. orange juice 2 teaspoons rose water few drops almond essence Mix the ground almonds, cinnamon, orange juice, rose water and almond essence in a bowl. Carefully unroll the filo lightly and oil a square baking tin, line with 2 sheets of filo, brush with olive oil, line with 2 more sheets, repeat once more. Smooth over the almond mixture, cover with 2 sheets filo pastry, brush with oil, repeat twice. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Serve cut in squares.
