Guest guest
I really wouldn't fear Miracle Whip most spreads and condiments aren't health foods, they aren't meant to be consumed in huge quantities daily, nice touch to a sandwich. What's better then a smear of mayo or miracle whip with mustard on a sandwich along with a crisp pickle and a few chips for lunch? I hav e never given up my 1/2 can of Coke on ice with lunch. That's a small vice compared to what I see others doing and if it relaxes me I'm doing it. Now Vegenaise on the other hand is very pure and the flavor is wonderful if you are a mayo fan. You can also make ypur own Miracle Whip from Judy's recipe or use the Nayonaise (sp?). Guest guest
I don't think they were saying that real mayonnaise is bad or not a good thing......they were just relating how it is made. " Salad Dressing " aka Miracle Whip, thinned mayonnaise and cooked with starch paste.......no thanks.....I will stick with real mayo. I do have a recipe, somewhere, that you make a sandwich spread that is not regular mayonnaise, but I have never done it. I love the taste of real homemade mayonnaise made with fresh lemon juice and only a touch of vinegar. Mayonnaise, if you have a blender, is one of the easiest homemade food items to make. But, you know.....everyone likes different things...and that is a good thing. Nancy C.
