Guest guest
I have the thick cookbook, Essential VEgetarin Cookbook.I've had it for years, and it's starting to come in handy. I love dates, and wanted to try the granola bars in the cookbook, but I wasn't planning on going to the store today. I have dried cranberries, and dried fruit, adn other things. What substitue for dates, that's not prunes? In otherwords, how can I mae the granola bars, without dates? --Rhonda

Guest guest
Lol,I bought it years ago, I wasn't even vegetarian. It is an amazing cookbook, that should be on everyone's shelf, no matter what. The recipe is on page 51. --Rhonda , " wwjd " <jtwigg wrote: > > What page is the recipe on that you are wanting to make. Guest guest
You could substitute most any dried fruit for dates. Guest guest
I usually sub. Figs and dates with one or the other. In a granola bar I'm sure any dried fruit would be delicious Donna Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry
