Guest guest
I made this dessert this past Friday for potluck at church and it was a hit. It is very similar in taste to a banana split, without the dairy. The vegan banana that split 4cups of cooked brown rice 1/2-3/4 c soy milk 1/2-3/4c brown sugar 1/4c cocoa powder or carob powder (I used a chocolate substitute) 1 tsp vanilla 1/4tsp cinnamon graham crackers or graham cracker crust 1 bag of frozen strawberries 1/2c sugar 1 can of crushed pineapple 1/2c brown sugar 1/2c starch divided 3-5 bananas Place graham crackers in bottom of 9x13 pan. Process rice, milk, sugar, cocoa, vanilla and cinnamon in a food processor until as smooth as possible. Spread mixture evenly over graham crackers. Slice bananas and arrange over rice. In sauce pan, place strawberries, sugar and 1/4c starch heat, stir and thicken. In another sauce pan place pinapple with juice, brown sugar and starch, stir heat and thicken. Pour pinapple mixture over bananas and spread evenly, then top with strawberry mixture and spread evenly. Refridgerate. Serve cold.
