Guest guest
Wrap in a cloth and steam in a steamer using about half inch of water for a min or so. You can lay them out in the microwave for 30 seconds. Do you like them fried hard? that's good too. My DX loves them on the burner just keep flipping them over. I bake the flour (not corn) tortillas for a crunchy tostada salad bowl. I recall a thread where we discussed turning those into taco shells (I think I did but I can't find it). Can anyone tell me how to do that? They are flat right now. I suppose I could also do " soft tacos. " I'd have to warm them in the oven, right? Thanks. Paula
Guest guest
Thanks Donna. I'll try them this week. I am going to try and make them from scratch. The ones I got at the farmer's market were far superior to the ones from the store (their slogan: the best you've tasted or double your money back!). Guest guest
My MIL has passed, she used to make the best flour tortillas, and my BIL's family has a little corn tortilla shop in Yucatan and it was fun watching them grind corn and make them from scratch and they sure do taste better than store bought. I get hot ones at a store by me. No need for me to make them.
