Photos in cookbooks

Happy Thursday Donna,

The only photos I care about in the cook books are the *how to* ones.

Especially like the photos in my Mexican cook book showing step by step how to

make Tamales or Tortillas.

I seldom follow a recipe without changing some ingredients to my taste and

*decorating* to suit me or the occasion.

Our temps have been in the high 80's , so still to hot for baking. Can't wait

for a cold and blustery day so I can have something yummy baking in the oven and

a stew bubling on the stove top.

First freeze expected tonight.

Keep warm Deanna.

I visualize the recipe so no photo is fine with me.

It is nice to have a how to in an ethnic cookbook, I made a mess out of stuffed

grapes leaves the first time I tried folding them.

Dolmas are wonderful things, but the one time I made them by myself, I

burned the entire bottom layer! Too much work!!
