Guest guest
I can't believe this wonderful vegetable has been kept out of the limelight as it has. We baked ours with butter and a little seasoning, and it was delicious! I did keep some to the side to try in my " Happy Yummy Delicious Bread " recipe later. I have really been trying to collect heirloom seeds for our garden, there are so many flavors and textures that we are missing out on because they aren't what's " in " at the moment. , Barbara Gallagher <beelgee wrote: > > The green and white stripped squash is called cushaw. It is very like pumpkin and makes an excellent pie. Just use a pumpkin pie recipe. My granny used to raise them in her garden and so have I. I remember them as a child and always thought they had a funny name. > blg >
