Donna,

Please let us know what the black garbanzo beans (black chickpeas) are like

when you try them!  I love to try any bean I can find and have never seen black

garbanzos before.  I did get some green chickpeas (aka garbanzo beans) this

summer, but they weren't my all-time favorites when I tried them.  I do like

regular garbanzos and also there are split ones (found them in the Indian foods

section of a store)--they are called " chana dal " , I think; they make a good

soup!

Have a great weekend!

I have some black garbanzo beans I will try next.

I am not Donna, but I have tried them. Until I got the dried black chickpeas, I

had only had canned ones, so I guess I can't make a full comparison, but to my

way of thinking, they are smaller than regular chick peas and have a slightly

nuttier flavor. Other than that, they are just like the larger white ones.

Once cooked, when the shells come off, they look just like the others, escept

smaller.
