Guest guest Posted September 25, 2009 Report Share Posted September 25, 2009 Story goes that farmers once took the Corn Meal Mush that they had left over from breakfast and fried it on their hoes over a fire out in the field for lunch. I'd never heard of Polenta until I came to this group but I did cook Corn Meal Mush for breakfast and then fried the leftovers the next day for breakfast. Mush can be sweetened (plus milk) just like any other hot cereal. The Corn Pan Cakes are fried and then covered with butter and syrup.
