Guest guest
I bought a couple of packages of the Tofu shirataki and one package of the yam Shirataki. The client that I got them for is diabetic and loves pasta, but can't eat it because of the carbs. I made the Tofu Shirataki for her with a tomato based sauce and she absolutely loves them. I did like Kristina said and microwaved them for a minute and then patted them dry and added them to the sauce, and then I let them sit in the sauce on low for about 1/2 hr. to soak up the flavor, my client said they were good the first time, but the left overs were even better after they had sat in the frig. overnight in the sauce, the texture became more like normal pasta. She wouldn't even try the yam noodle so I have them here at home to try. she said they looked like worms, the Tofu Shirataki look just like spaghetti though. What a great solution for those that have to watch their carbs. Now I have to figure out how to get them here without having to travel all the way to Eugene.
