Guest guest
I made these last night. I added dtes, instead of chocalate chips (I don't care for chocolate that much). Don't do what I did and leave out the baking soda. This is from the Vegan Outreach booklet. Wet ingrediants: 3/4 cup brown sugar 3/4 cup white sugar 3/4 cup canola oil 1/2 cup water 1 tsp vanilla extract dry ingrediants: 3 1/2 cup oats (regular or quick) 2 cup flour 1/2 tsp baking soda oven at 350. mix wet ingrediants in a small bowl. In a large bowl, mix the dry ingrediants. Pour the wet mix into the dry mix, and mix thoroughly. Form dough into paties on ungreased cookie sheet. Cook for 8-12 minutes .(I added fresh dates.), it took mine 12 minutes to cook.

Guest guest
I´ve been looking for a recipe like this for years.. I used to eat something like this as a child at a Welsh friend's place.. and again in London a health bakery shop used to sell something like this, they´d use big seedless raisins soaked in apple juice in them.. and put no sugar in them.. they didn´t really need it with the raisins.. Can´t wait to try them.. Thanks for posting, will try this out.. maybe with less sugar.. that keen on lots of sugar
Guest guest
I thought it was a bit high on the sugar, as well...I don't usually tweak baking recipes, but I might try it again. I used Steel pressed oats, it's all I had. (I don't like them, and was trying to use them up.) , brghtcrystl <brghtcrystl wrote: > I´ve been looking for a recipe like this for years..
