Guest guest
Donna, Do black garbanzo beans have an Indian (India) name? The reason I ask is because when I am able to get over to St. Louis, I shop in an international grocery that has all kinds of interesting foods and some of the Indian foods have (in English script) the native name for the food (Moong dal, chana dal, urud dal (sp?), and so on) --I don't always know what the food is, but sometimes there is a translation on the packaging or not. If the black garbanzo beans have another name, I might be able to find them at Global Foods and try them myself. I love trying new foods, especially beans, since they are easy to store (dried ones, and yes, the canned ones, too). They are also relatively inexpensive. I like that part especially! My pantry shelves are always " welcoming " a new addition of some beans I've found somewhere! I agree; fresh-cooked beans ARE delicious! Peace and blessings to you! --Laura B., in Ilinois I found about about them from our wonderful member Mo. She loves them, I found a bag at the Indian store. I shall try them soon. Fresh cooked beans are just delicious. Donna
