Guest guest
I have about 1/2 dozen sweet & fruit bagels that are stale. If they were other flavors I'd make croutons. Any ideas what to do with these? Thanks!

Guest guest
You could even try incorporating them as part of a stuffing mix, albeit a sweet rather than savory one. Maybe make meatballs with crumbles and use them as the bread part of the recipe...I've seen recipes for regular meatballs made with raisins, cranberries, etc. Just an idle thought. Guest guest
Bread pudding. Sometimes instead of raisins, I'll throw in a handful of freeze dried blueberries, apple flakes or dried cranberries. Next time I make it, I'll keep track of the amounts of everything. Basically I dice the bagels, float them in milk with a beaten egg, some cinnamon and vanilla and a little brown sugar or honey and add however big a handful I feel like of the fruit. Mine isn't the solid lump of indigestion I've had at some restaurants. Drats. Now I want blueberries and cream bread pudding and all I have on hand, bagel wise, is the " Everything on it " ones. Guest guest
That's an interesting idea. I would never have thought of it and will have to keep it in mind if I ever have any left-over fruit bagels.
