Nope that is reality.  I have had that type of response said to me so many times

I can't count.

Vicki..You have to remember.... that was just a movie.

This reminds me of that line in the movie, My Big Fat Greek Wedding " where

the aunt offers the fiance some food and they tell her he's a vegetarian.

The whole room stops and looks at him, and then the aund says, " That's okay,

I make you lamb, " and then the room resumes partying.

People who are not like us totally don't get it, do they?

My grandma still asks me if I'll eat chicken with her -- I haven't eaten

chicken in over 2 years.... :) Oh well, she's 88 years old -- she does very

well at adapting to new ideas, so I guess a few can slide! She is so sweet,

though -- I went over to do a few chores for her the other night and she had

all kinds of things for salad, because apparently, she thinks " that's all

she can eat. " (it was a good salad)

Bless her heart...your grandmother was trying. You are so lucky to have a

grandmother.

I haven't had a grandmother, or a grandfather since I was 12.

Enjoy her while you can.
