Guest guest
After waiting a month to get in to see my doctor, despite episodes of 8 and higher gut pain and blood, I finally got in. Yay. Not. He didn't poke or prod or anything other than give me a script for a proton pump inhibitor. Whooptie freaking do. Before any of you give advice, let me offer a blanket absolution to let you off the hook. I've tried some of the fruit flavored agar jelly stuff (fake Jello) and was not favorably impressed. (two thumbs down and then some). Oatmeal would be good, but whoopsie, thar she blows. It came back as a rental food with vengence. Same thing with my favortie cream of wheat. I'm even throwing up applesauce and mashed potatoes. ARGH! Saltine crackers and other crackers get stopped up which causes several hours of pain and dry heaves till the plug comes back. (I had gastric bypass surgery 7 years ago and it has failed and is really VERY screwed up and the original surgeon won't see me, neither will other surgeons who are afraid of getting stuck with a problem.) My coffee, tea, soda, and water all taste vile now, which isn't surprising considering what is constantly churning back up into my mouth. Blech. I threw out an entire pot full of Jamacain Blue Mountain. Coffee people are screaming in horror - me too. Right now Doritos corn chips go down, so does Cheerios. Sometimes I can get a half slice of toast with veggie broth poured over it, down. (My prime comfort food.) I'm having to crush my pills, which is making my pharmacist suggest that I have a problem with my meds. Duh, you think? Neurontin (600 mg 3X day) is really very icky when crushed. *whining* I'm hungry, darnit. Someone please please please have an idea of foodness that will go down and stay down. I've even gotten sick on HUMMUS! whine whine whimper snarfle. Barley, that so gentle grain, is a rental, rice and pasta get stuck. I've tried pureeing veggies but it was also a rental. But the good news is that I've lost 4 pounds in 2 weeks. Maybe I can start a new diet craze called the Dorrito and Cheetos diet, but I hope not. I am very horribly tired of Dorritos and Cheetos.
