Guest guest
Jann those photos in cookbooks are a joke. They are assembled by food artists. I saw how it's done. They fill mile high pies with mashed potatoes and spread fruit around the side of a cut pie making it look like the whole pie is jammed with fruit. They use all types of tricks to make the photo look tantalizing. I never cook rice in the crockpot, it's so quick in the rice cooker, or as members say the microwave. I will have to try the microwave method one day. Donna Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry
Guest guest
That's for sure! I can always picture them arranging each grain of rice etc using tweezers... Taste is always the most important thing to me, I like a beautifully prepared and attractive dish, but it's not essential. I've never used the microwave for preparing rice either, just heating up leftovers. Jann , thelilacflower wrote: > > Jann those photos in cookbooks are a joke. They are assembled by food artists.
