Guest guest
Go to the burger recipe area. Might been in the bean folder or the not cow folder. PT has a vegetable bean burger, they are delicious, vegan and easy to make. I'm not logged in so I can't find it for you right now. I normally use eggs when making bean burgers, but I wanted to vegan-ize the recipe to share with my friend. When I went to do it, I realized that I have no idea what to use instead of eggs. As always, I knew you guys would have some really great suggestions- can't wait to see them. This one has me stumped! Thanks. Andrea
Guest guest
You can grind up flax seeds to a power, then mix with water. About 1 tbs ground flax and 2-3 tbs water. Mix it up and it will become gooey, like an egg. Use instead of one large egg. You can also bind with thick cooked oatmeal, or maybe even the powdered egg substitute but I have not tried the latter. Guest guest
Using it the way i described, it substitutes eggs in cooking and some baked goods. It also gives you heaps of Omega 3's. , mommy <taximommyto9 wrote: > > I am very new to this..what does flax seed do? > > > > > ________________________________ > rosetalleo <rosetalleo > > Wed, October 28, 2009 12:39:42 AM > [veg_grp] Re: Binding Agents > > > You can grind up flax seeds to a power, then mix with water. Guest guest
I've used bread crumbs mixed with beans that I'd put in the blender and mixed with vegetables, etc before. They stuck together pretty well. , " andef " <andefrayser wrote: > > Howdy! > > I normally use eggs when making bean burgers, but I wanted to vegan-ize the recipe to share with my friend.
