Guest guest
Congrats Nancy. My father was addicted to Oxy because of a workman's comp knee injury in 1989. He has been on everything over the year, so when Oxy came out, the docs said it wasn't addictive. Boy were they wrong. He had be addicted to so many different benzos and opiates over the years that he became such an aggressive and abusive man that I didn't know my father. I was nine years old when he began taking the pills for the pain. I was 24 when my mother, a drug and alcohol rehad nurse, and I began to detox him off the pills. He has been off them since 2004. A new workman's comp doctor has put him back on some different types of pills to prepare him for knee replacement surgery that was susposed to be on November 2nd, but the company that makes the knee had to put a hold on the replacements due to a technical difficulties of the success of the knees joints. We hope to have the replacement done by the end of the year or so the company and doctor tells us. You are such a strong woman for having done this on your own with your family in tow. Prolonged use of such drugs turns you into a different person and can cost you your family, your job, and everything that you hold dear. What you have done is a miracle!! You deserve an award for your hard work and stong will!!! CONGRATS!! Dena in GA
