Guest guest
The issue with that particular child was that she had a sensitivity with sugar, while her sister did not. She learned that she had to take sugar in moderation for herself, while her sister's moderation level was higher. We all have different moderation levels specific to our individual bodies. I significantly reduced my sugar and caffine for health reasons because I'm hypoglycemic to prevent the future developement of diabeties. Some people have a higher tolerance for alcohol, which I do because alcoholism runs in my family. I recently went out for drinks with a friend and her husband, a criminal defense attorney specilizing in DUI defense. After I drank 4 large mixed drinks over the course of 2 hours, he did a breath analyzer on me to determine if I could drive home. I was a 0.00 on three different machines used in Georgia. I did not eat anything during those two hours, while his wife had 3 beers during that same time and she blew a .087, legally drunk in Georgia. He was our DD. I do not drink often and alway with a DD as I don't keep alcohol in the house. I just have a very high tolerance for it. The difference in his wife's body weight and mine was 15 pounds. I really think things really come down to how well people know their bodies and how what they put into their bodies reacts. I don't like putting things into my body, especially medication, without knowing all of the side effects. I always know about meds before the doctor gives them to me, and I double check them before leaving the pharmacy no matter how sick I am to make sure no one has given me the wrong meds. I read labels and research ingredients, which farm fresh produce only has God as an ingredient. My best advice is to know your body, how what you put into your body reacts with it, and know your limits, plus those of your children. I've been like this ever since I had a sever allergic reaction to codine cough syrup when I was 2 and nearly died. My mother worked very hard at educating my sister and I to know these things, and we will in turn educate our children. Education is a powerful tool for all people to posses. Know thyself!!
