Guest guest Posted November 17, 2009 Report Share Posted November 17, 2009 This is amazingly good pie crust, and EASY (this from someone who can't even get the boxed mix pie crusts to work out -- a few of them contain lard, too). It doesn't even get tough when you fight with it to get it into the pie pan! Never Fail Pie Crust II - from Allrecipes.com 4 c flour 2 c butter-flavored shortening 1 tbsp white sugar 1 tsp salt 1/2 c ice water 1 egg 1 tbsp distilled white vinegar Roll out; place in pan; bake 15 minutes on 425 degrees F, then reduce temp to 350 degrees F until done.
