Guest guest
Hey there - unfortunately, this is no longer true. Walter Reed NO LONGER ACCEPTS Christmas (or any other) cards/packages sent to " A recovering american soldier. " There was just too much for them to handle, and 2-3 years ago, they stopped accepting cards.  (This can be validated by snopes). If you send cards to WRAMC, they WILL be THROWN AWAY or RETURNED. Sorry - wish it wasn't so, but it is. At the risk of giving a shameless plug - my non-profit org is currently collecting Christmas cards to ship to troops overseas. Anyone wanting to send a holiday card or thank you card to our heroes, our Defenders of Freedom, can send to us at: Operation Love From Home, PO Box 1660 Loganville GA 30052 -- ALL CARDS MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN NOVEMBER 28, AS WE ARE MAILING ON NOVEMBER 30. Our website, for more info, is: www.OperationLoveFromHome.org, and a link to our facebook page is below in my siggy. This one is for real - I'm pres/founder of it and can assure you, no hoax here. Rock on!
